The Colorado Springs Philharmonic presents Scheherazade at Pikes Peak Center on September 26-27, 2026! Individual tickets go on sale on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 10am and are available online at AXS.com or in person at the Pikes Peak Center box office. 

About Scheherazade

Our Centennial Season begins with pieces of rich lyricism, fairy-tale wonders, and a virtuosic composition from our very first composer-in-residence, Eunike Tanzil. Hear the orchestra build from a whisper to a roar in Tanzil’s one-movement Ascending Creatures, inspired by a flock of birds in flight. Then, Beethoven’s poetically quiet Piano Concerto No. 4 that highlights enchanting exchanges between soloist Jean-Baptiste Doulect and the orchestra. Lastly, Rimsky-Korsakov’s legendary Scheherazade presents a gripping symphonic battle of wits, stormy seas, and fairy talks where a brave queen fights for her life using the power of storytelling.
