Warren Miller, the world’s foremost ski filmmaker whose annual films for the past 68 years have officially kicked off winter and the ski season, returns to Pikes Peak Center on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 3-4 with this year’s film Volkswagen Presents - Warren Miller’s Line of Descent.
Through Miller’s lens, audiences will travel the globe by land, air, and sea, exploring the ties that bind us. Tickets for each performance go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. at the Pikes Peak Center and Broadmoor World Arena box offices, online at PikesPeakCenter.com or AXS.com, or via phone at 719 -520-SHOW or 888-9-AXS-TIX (888-929-7849). Ticket prices start at $23.00 plus applicable service fees. Tickets will include discount coupons for the Ski Shop or lift tickets that will be available at the show.
Visit skiing icons who have made the mountains their home and raised the next generation of winter adventurers. You’ll go from New Zealand, home to some of the Southern Hemisphere’s deepest lines, to the French Alps, where native son Jean-Claude Killy’s legacy fills Val D’Isere hearts with pride.
In Norway, join a Canadian ski patroller as he enjoys the company of his Norwegian brethren, and in British Columbia, the Provo brothers discover the powsurfing stashes of Mustang Powder Lodge. Cruise through the Northern Rockies with Kalen Thorien by motorcycle and rip the rugged terrain of Jackson Hole with legends like Tommy Moe and Jess McMillan.
Via full-length, feature films, Warren Miller gives fans an opportunity to vicariously experience some of the most carefree, daring, adrenaline-filled winter adventures ever each season, which will be on display at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov 3 and 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4.
