The Black Jacket Symphony
Performing Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon
Pikes Peak Center presents a unique symphonic experience when The Black Jacket Symphony takes the stage at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 8 to perform Pink Floyd’s most successful album Dark Side of the Moon.
The Black Jacket Symphony recreates classic albums in a live performance setting with the selected album being performed in its entirety by a group of hand-picked musicians specifically selected for each album. No sonic detail is overlooked -- the musicians do whatever it takes to reproduce the musical stylings of the featured group’s classic production.
The performance will be separated into two sets. The first set will feature the album being recreated as a true symphonic piece. The second set, which highlights a selection of the album artist's "greatest hits," will open in full contrast to the first set with an incredible light display in a much more laid back and uninhibited symphony. The tone is set very quickly; the show will feature the high level musicianship of the act being covered and also be accompanied by all the bells and whistles of a major rock and roll show.
Starting at $25, tickets for The Black Jacket Symphony will go on sale Friday, January 19 at 10 a.m. They can be purchased at the Pikes Peak Center Box Office, PikesPeakCenter.com, AXS.com or via phone at 719.520-SHOW. Tickets can also be purchased at The Broadmoor World Arena box office.
