Group Sales/Marketing Manager - Full Time

JOB TITLE:              Group Sales/Marketing Manager

DEPARTMENT:         Marketing                                                    

REPORTS TO:          Director of Marketing                                


The primary purpose of this position is to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase group sales for The Broadmoor World Arena and the Pikes Peak Center.  The Group Sales/Marketing Manager will create, manage and maximize sales campaigns that target specific group markets and assist in the development of and the maintenance of group databases. This position is a courteous and professional ambassador for The Broadmoor World Arena, World Arena Ice Hall and the Pikes Peak Center and their events. In addition, as the Marketing Manager, this individual will assist the Director of Sales, Marketing & Promotions by overseeing media placement, Public Relations, street team, and promotions for select shows at both The Broadmoor World Arena and the Pikes Peak Center.


Group Sales Manager 

  • Group Sales Agent for all World Arena and Pikes Peak Center ticketed or paid admission events, soliciting area businesses, organizations, etc. to secure group ticket purchases.
  • Pursue and secure group sales contracts with promoters.
  • In conjunction with the Box Office, upsell and fulfill customer services as it pertains to the group sale (i.e. ticket distribution, food/beverage and parking).
  • In conjunction with the Box Office, package food and beverage options with group events to drive revenue.
  • Work with the Box Office to establish tracking tools to assess effectiveness of group promotions and campaigns.
  • Work with promoter and the World Arena Sales, Marketing and Promotions Department to develop event group marketing plans, including, but not limited to, sales budgets and goals, target audiences, marketing materials, special promotions and incentives.
  • Be available to group sales customers during events that involve group sales to provide customer quality customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Based on reports received from the Box Office, track the success of marketing plans and promotions and develop contingency plans based on timely evaluation.
  • In conjunction with the Box Office, develop, manage and grow group sales databases for direct mail, sales programs and email programs.
  • Research prospects.
  • Manage relationships with existing group contacts.
  • Develop and solicit new group relationships through prospecting and networking.
  • Manage annual group sales budget, provide forecasted projected sales and expenses using monthly rolling forecasts.
  • Assist as needed in managing and implementing ticket sales-driven promotions on sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google+ as well as develop key marketing campaigns using viral marketing techniques.

Marketing Manager

  • Pitch stories, write press releases, create public relations events, generate media hits, and build relationships with local media and outlying markets. 
  • Serve as liaison between media and show promoter or publicist to achieve PR goals.
  • Manage internal and external public relations such as event announcements, reporting to trade publications, as well as representing the building as point person for all PR-related activity.
  • Oversee the implementation of each event marketing plans put together by the Marketing Department, including media buying, trade, public relations, grassroots, group sales, third party relationships, community relations, etc.
  • Manage community appearances and overall expansion of marketing campaigns to maximize event awareness and exposure.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all trade media outlets.
  • Coordinate and manage on-site events such as pre-show parties as required.
  • Assist in the production of weekly email blasts, newsletters, and web banners for digital marketing.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of interns


  • At least three – five years of successful business development and sales experience
  • All Microsoft programs, including Excel
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Parking Operations - Part Time

Job Title: Parking Operations

Reports to: Parking Operations Supervisor


This position is responsible for various guest relations and activities including but not limited to directing incoming and outgoing traffic in/out of the World Arena Parking Lots. Applicants must be friendly, outgoing and customer service oriented approaching each guest with a positive attitude and enthusiasm. Applicants must have the ability to work irregular/extended hours based on events including evening, weekend and holidays as needed. This position is required to work both indoors and outdoors including inclement weather as needed.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Positively represent the World Arena – Must be friendly, outgoing and customer service oriented approaching each guest with a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
  • Direct incoming and outgoing traffic in/out of World Arena parking lots.
  • Other duties include patrolling parking area to ensure guests and vehicles are safe, pick up and clean up designated parking areas during and at the end of each shift.
  • Must be able to work irregular/extended hours based on events including evening, weekend and holidays as needed.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • Must be able to follow directions.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.


  • Must have the physical ability to maneuver around facilities, at times walking and/or standing up to 6-12 hours daily.

Changeover Crew - Part Time

JOB TITLE:  Changeover Crew Part Time  

DEPARTMENT:  Facilities Services                                 

REPORTS TO:  Conversion& Tech Manager                     

SUMMARY:  This part time position is responsible for converting the Broadmoor World Arena from one event set-up to another on an as needed basis.  This position is very physical and requires long periods of standing, walking and lifting.  Employee must be able to work a part time varied schedule (weekdays, weekends, and holidays); mainly late nights.  


The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.  Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

  • Perform event set-ups and facility conversions
  • Perform routine maintenance assignments

Housekeeper - Part Time

REPORTS TO:  Housekeeping Manager

FACILITY:  Broadmoor World Arena, Ice Hall and Pikes Peak Center

DEFINITION: Under general supervision, cleans assigned areas, stocks all supplies needed for assigned area; and performs related duties as required.


1. Sweeps, scrubs, and mops floors; vacuums, spot cleans, high dust and low dusting.

2.Cleans walls, windows, mirrors, pictures, mini-blinds, bookcases, computer screens, and water fountains; washes, dusts, and polishes furniture, woodwork, shelves, and metal work; cleans rest rooms and replenishes rest room supplies; and collects and empties waste receptacles.
3. Notifies supervisor of minor building maintenance repairs, including replacing light bulbs; repair to office furniture; and refers work requiring major maintenance or repair to appropriate sources.
4. Performs job in a safe manner using proper body mechanics. Responsible for the proper care of all equipment, supplies and financial assets involved in the performance of the job.
5. Additional duties may be outlined by facility. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of the management.


Some commercial cleaning experience; or, equivalent combination of training, education, and related experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities. Possession of valid Colorado Driver’s License is required along with dependable transportation to and from work.

Knowledge of: Current cleaning methods, equipment, cleaning solutions, mops, buckets, body mechanics, wet and dry vacuum cleaners, ladders, cleaning and maintenance safety practices, Right to Know SDS sheets and OSHA practices.

Ability to: prepare cleaning materials and solutions, including choosing proper tools and cleaning agents; work in contact with strong cleaning and disinfecting solutions; add and subtract small numbers; speak English sufficiently to communicate with supervisor and fellow employees; understand and follow oral and written directions in English; read signs, labels, work schedules, and instructions; follow safety precautions and procedures; plan and complete assigned duties within allotted time frames; and work independently and well with others.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Many of the essential functions of this position are characterized by demanding physical work requiring such physical activities as standing, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Moving, handling, lifting and transporting heavy furniture and equipment are also required.   Applicant will be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
